Best boat shuttles

I have a number of these Schacht boat shuttles and I find them to be the easiest to use in any of my looms. They slide smoothly, load and unload quickly, and are ergonomically the right shape to throw them quickly back and forth. They work equally well in a rigid heddle, 4, 8 or 16 harness loom. I use only these. I've tried other brands of boat shuttles and they are harder to grab, and most are taller so they don't fit through the shed as well. These are not cheap shuttles but worth every penny.
Only shuttle better than this is Schacht's end feed shuttle

I've tried most of the shuttles out there, including older and heavier mill ones. Schacht's boat shuttles are the best. Smooth, sleek, the yarn comes off of the bobbins without hitching (we've all been there) and the resulting excessive draw in.
I have only one slim shuttle, and prefer it to the regular Schacht's boat shuttles though all are excellent, and it slides through without problems when the shed is narrowed because it's time to advance the cloth. The shuttle is light and easy on the wrist.
Between ease of use, the smooth unraveling action of the yarn from the bobbin, and the ease of passage through narrow sheds, this Schacht shuttle is #1.

My first package went astray and the company was AMAZING and immediately sent out another, and were so great! Now that I finally have it, I can also say the boat shuttle is life changingly good for a weaver. I made my bobbins out of cardboard and duct tape and it's so easy to change them and just keep weaving! Highly recommend. (Easy for a beginner too.)
