I bought this set believing there was no way it would be as advertised. My thought was that if I didn't like it, I could still use it as a blanket and the shams might work with another bedspread. But, WOW, it is beautiful. The quilted design is sewn in, not embossed, so it is reversible. I have already ordered two other sets in different floral fabrics with a white background so I can mix and match. I have a Queen bed and ordered the extra long King size. The spread goes all the way to the floor. I have NOT washed it, so I don't know if it will shrink or how much. I have a white dust ruffle so if it shrinks, it will still be fine. The bedspread is scalloped on ALL FOUR sides. I plan to buy a colored bed ruffle in the future so that the pretty scallops will show to advantage. The extra length allows me to wrap 6 standard bed pillows at the top of the bed! I wanted the 'bedspread' look, not the 'comforter' look, so I like that 'tucked in' pillow effect. The King size shams are a little big for the Queen bed, but I don't mind as I plan to use smaller colorful throw pillows to break up the white.

I'm really torn on how to review this. For the price, it really can't be beat. It is a beautiful quilt and I love the look of it. However, I am extremely disappointed in the size of it. We have a king size bed, so obviously have king size pillows. Not only is the quilt far, far too small (it only hangs over about 3" on each side!), but this comes with standard size pillow shams. This makes no sense, and I have never seen a king size bedding or sheet set, come with standard pillow cases or shams. Aside from the quilt being pretty, it looks terrible on a king size bed. :(

Love it! It's exactly the simple country elegance I was going for. I have a king bed and hate when the sides of my mattress show. So I ordered the extra wide king size and it drops down about 2 feet on the left, right, and foot of the bed. That also allows for about a 6 inch fold over at the head of the bed. I'm thrilled with my purchase! I included a picture but it looks even better in person :)

This is exactly what I wanted. I was looking for a bedspread that would be long enough to hide the metal bed rails--the bed has a headboard but no side rails or foot board. I've been using a dust ruffle for years and, honestly, the tucking of all of the blankets, making sure the dust ruffle doesn't get caught up in the tucking, was very aggravating. Especially since my toddler grandson naps in this bed at least twice a week. I wanted a simpler way to make the bed after nap without having to tuck all of the blankets in. The bed is queen size and after measuring, I determined that a queen size spread would not work--they are typically sized for use with dust ruffles or on beds with side rails and foot board. I ordered a king size spread and turned it so the long edge runs across the width of the bed instead of the length of it. Because there is no pattern that would dictate it be used the way it was intended, this works just great. The spread is top quality. After making sure it was the right fit, I washed it and put it on the bed. It's just perfect and washed beautifully. No odd smell, no excessive lint, no missed stitching. This purchase also had the option of buying standard size pillow shams (king spread with standard OR king shams), which I did. My toddler's bed looks great and will be easy to make as he gets in and out of it. I am going to check to see if it comes in other colors so I can order another one for change of seasons. You won't go wrong with this purchase.

Just got this and threw it on our bed... We LOVE! So pretty and weight is perfect, not too thin. We bought the largest king and put on our queen bed since we wanted it to hang over the sides more. We also already had king pillows, so this worked out great with the king pillow shams.
