If you have an OM642 this is the current spec oil. Don't get caught using 229.51 or you might run into warranty issues.
If you do short trips in cold weather, make sure you change the oil more frequently (I do oil changes every 3k in the winter). In the summer I go up to 5k.

From the looks of the packaging, and the bottles, I am assuming this is genuine, and so, only with slight trepidation I put in a quart into my Mercedes Benz S65 V12 AMG engine, instead of having to stop by the Mercedes dealer an hour away every time the oil signal came on. I have driven the car and not noticed anything out of the ordinary so am happy this seems to be the real thing.
