I used these to secure parts of my mantle. ...

I used these to secure parts of my mantle. They work well for the weight load. The clearances seem to be almost too tight as it takes some wiggling to get the clips to line up and feed together once the screws are in. They are flush screws, but they still ride a bit above the holes.
Few problems

The clips were good, easy to layout and install and the #6 x 3/4 screws were also of good quality but the #8 x 1 1/2 screws were too large needed #6 like the 3/4-inch. Also if these are suppose to mount to studs walls they should have been about 1/4-inch narrower. For those two problems (witch I found too be major) you get the 3 stars.
Good, Screws don't quite seat fully in the counter-sinked holes

I used this to mount a headboard to a wall (rather than the bed). Solid part. I only needed two to mount a master headboard. The screws that come with the product do not fully set into the counter-sinked area. The part worked for my purpose, but it would be better if the mounting hardware was completely flush when seated in the counter-sink.
Great product

These clips are amazing. I hung 3 framed mirrors on a closet door in about 30 minutes. Measure twice and they are simple to install. The mirrors don't budge even if I slam the door. I now plan to use them on many other projects for hanging art/pictures in the house that have been bugging me when they fall off walls when my herd of kids go thundering by.
Great product. The screws don't strip even when my drill is set to full torque (a real pet peeve of mine with most "included hardware"). The hangers are really sturdy and won't bend over time.

Overall a good secure bracket if installed by a careful

Got these a while back to mount a padded headboard on the wall. I used two on a queen size headboard. I had to take extreme care to measure since there is very little room for error in getting the opposing sides to line up (<1/8 in). Because there is also very, very little depth clearance between the two sides of the pair the mounting surfaces have to be very firm and flat and plumb. I had to account for the depression of the fabric and padding on the back of the headboard, and ended up putting a 1/4 in wood shim under the headboard side bracket so that it would still engage with the wall side of the bracket and keep the headboard flush against the wall. Even after all that caution I was very doubtful the brackets would line up, engage properly, and that the headboard would hang level. But it did and is extremely secure. My only beef on this product, and why I gave it four stars, is that the provided screws are not what is needed for these - half of them (longer ones) have heads that are too large and don't recess flat into bracket so prevent the two sides from sliding together all the way and the other half of them (shorter ones) are TOO short for anything except a picture frame or other thin, light article being hung. So I had to scrounge around for correct screws and even then used a dremel to grind off the screw heads so they were perfectly flush with the bracket. Overall a good secure bracket if installed by a careful, experienced, confident person.
