its good.... maybe TOO good.

I don't know how i feel about this thing. its kind of a pain to get the phone in, but once you got it in, IT IS IN! i don't really use it too often because its kind of a hassle to get the phone in it, and the rubber ties aren't centered more like a 35/65 offset. so you need to make sure you phone goes in on the right side, or the center holder will hit your side buttons. all in all, my main worry was that it wouldn't hold my phone well when im riding around. well... i was wrong. it holds the hell out of it. you phone isn't going anywhere. taking the straps off is pretty easy though, just a rub of the finger and they slid off. so that part is nice at least. i like it and would recommend it, so long as you aren't impatient like me with putting it on.

I had a hard time mounting the this to my handlebars. i think my handle bar size must be weird, because i had to cut one of the rubber strips in half to get the size right. it comes with 3 spacer rubber strips. you put them in based on how large the bar is. with 2 inserted it was too lose, with 3 inserted it was too tight. this really pissed me off for the 30 mins i spent trying to figure it all out, putting it on different spots. there was no mention in the instructions as to what to do in this situation, so after a while i finally decided to do things my way. cutting the strip in half did the trick. im usually the type that follows directions too strictly before i just make it work on my own.
Can play Pokemon Go on my motorcycle!

Just kidding, I don't play games on my phone while riding, and neither should anyone.

For the most part, this is a great phone holder for my V-Star 1100.

At first I used 2 of the 3 included rubber shims and it seemed to be tightly mounted. However, after about 5 hours of riding, it started to slip down and eventually just hung there. I added the 3rd rubber shim, and had to use quite a bit of muscle and body weight to compress the mount to the point I could put the bolt through to the nut. It now seems to be a very tight and secure fit. It doesn't show any obvious signs of stress to the plastic, but the amount of force required makes me think the plastic will not hold. It would be a great idea for the company to include a rubber shim half as thick as the others, rather than 3 identical-sized shims.

For now, I am putting in an old phone to see how it holds up. If all seems fine after a while, I will entrust it with my Note 5 in an otter box. Hopefully I will remember to update this review after a few months. If I don't, feel free to comment so I get an e-mail reminder.
Excellent on 2015 Honda Shadow

I had been looking for some time because I have a Note4 with a thin case but most holders will not accommodate the larger phones. I have a 2015 Honda Shadow Phantom and this WORKS GREAT!!

Installation was straight forward even without reading the simple instructions. The only thing I will say is it comes with 3 rubber strips to help "fill in" the loop that goes on the handle bars. For my bike, 2 was not enough and 3 was too much. What I ended up doing was having 2 in the loop and just laying one on the handle bars to make up a little difference. Worked perfectly.

It fit my Note4 with a thin case pretty good. The clamp part was snug (I almost thought it wasn't going to fit) and the added stretchy mesh that holds it at the corners makes a huge difference.

I have done several "road tests" before taking on a long ride and so far it has not made me rethink the purchase. I have done 70 mph, speed bumps at 30 mph, 0 to 60 hole shots and just general around town cruising. So far it has not moved, wiggled, turned or shown any signs of wanting to let the phone go.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone with the larger phones (or normal size).
Broke 2x in 5 months (NOT recommended for iPhone 6 plus)
Kenji✓ Verified PurchaseApril 13, 2016
I bought this item over a year ago and initially loved it (so much so that I even bought 2 more for my friends). I have phone similar to the iPhone 6 plus and have now had this item break off while riding two times in the last 5 months. To be clear, the plastic in the item snapped during normal use of the item (see attached photo). The first time the item broke I contacted Aduro and they responded promptly apologizing and sending me a replacement free of charge. I used their replacement for 5 months and the exact same thing happened again in the same spot. The second time my phone was damaged when it fell off while riding. When I contacted Aduro about the issue for the 2nd time I was informed they could only give me a replacement for the same item. I did not want a replacement of a faulty.

Even though the item claims to work for larger phablet phones like the iPhone 6 plus, I DO NOT recommend this item to anyone with a larger phone for risk of it breaking and damaging your phone.
Broke my iPhone 6

I would not recommend this product to anyone. This product was gifted to me for Christmas of 2015. I had a bit of an incident with this product about a week ago. I had my iPhone 6 in this device. It was all strapped in for a leisurely bike to work. Within the first 5 min of the bike ride my phone somehow fell out of the rubber straps that are supposed to secure your device. Upon falling out it got caught in between my rear bike spokes and derailleur. The result of this was my phone getting destroyed and my bike needing maintenance. I contacted the company to see if they would be willing to work with me to help pay for damages over a product I feel was faulty and they told me that they would only be able to send me a new mount. I have had to spend over $700 to replace my phone and get my bike in working order. The pictures are of the aftermath of my phone. Order at your own risk!
