They broke as soon as I squeezed the handles. One handle snapped in half! I am a petite woman and not a power lifter, so this should not have happened. Basically the crappiest product I have ever tried. Brittle plastic. Metal inside handles only goes half way down and that is right where they snapped. I could get a quality right-handed opener for half the price.

Once I got the hang of putting it on the other side of the can, I was astonished at how easy it was to open. No more awkward tilting or arm crosses to get to those peas! My only concern is that it doesn't feel all that sturdy so I am not sure how well it will hold up to long term use. In the meantime, I will relish the small sense of triumph all left handers feel whenever they shake off yet another tiny oppression in a world of right handed tools.
