BEWARE THROUGH TSA SECURITY!

For function these are great little stands but beware through security!! My guy and I used these on domestic flights recently which has become necessary with most airlines moving to in-flight entertainment on your own device. We were fine until I put mine in my jacket pocket and sent it through the security x-ray belt. When folded it can be mistaken for a weapon due to the shape! I would buy another style for air travel as I don't want to go through that hassle again. My guy accidentally left his in his pocket and since it's plastic walked through the metal detector and had no issues .. meanwhile I'm trying to explain to the TSA agent what the purpose of it is when they see it in my jacket pocket on the x-ray. It basically looked like a plastic box cutter to them. See my photo of it folded which why this harmless plastic item looked like a weapon.I just don't plan on taking this item through TSA again.

These kickstands are fantastic! My husband and I travel for business and we wanted something that would securely hold our phones while streaming movies during flights but would also fold into a very flat dimension. These stands are perfect - I was actually worried that they might be cheaply-made but the material is good-quality. We need to order more of them because they tend to grow legs when friends, family and co-workers see how useful they are. :) Excellent product!

These stands are lightweight and essential when watching videos. They are easy to store in a pocket or in a bag. These are fully plastic but don't feel flimsy.

OK for phones without cases

This stand WILL NOT fit a phone with a thick protective case. On a Galaxy S6 with a thin Speck case, when I'm seated at a dining table, and the cell phone mounted on the stand, the device does not allow the phone to "lean back" enough for a comfortable viewing angle. My estimate is that the device holds the phone with case upright at approximately a 20-25 degree viewing angle. Without the case at approximately 45 degrees making for a more comfortable viewing angle.

This type of stand is awesome. I bought a bag of 10 cheaper ones from china a while ago for like 90 cents a piece and gave some away. They must have been popular because the next time I wanted to get some (lost some and wanted more) they were $5 a piece. The price has come down for this kind now and since they're colored my wife can have her own and stop taking mine when she misplaces it or the cat knocks it under the bed :)
