I bought these because I was looking for something high-waisted after having abdominal surgery and didn't want anything across my belly. And these are very high waisted, fit across my rib cage and nowhere near any surgical holes or incision sites. I also greatly appreciate the lace around the leg openings so no binding digging into my legs. And my guy loves the look of these on me; I feel like a 1940's pin-up girl.

I wasn't sure what size to get, so I ordered 3x, 4x, and 5x. Hopefully, this is the review for the 4x set because these are my sweet spot. The 5x are a little too much fabric all the way up to my bra line and the 3x feel like not enough fabric over my rump. I haven't had any trouble in the wash; I use cold water and regular tumble dry.

Another reviewer mentioned irregular sizing and I can confirm that! The blacks are cut wider and the beiges are cut smaller than the other colors. So a 5x beige measures the same as a 4x other color, and a 3x black measures the same as a 4x other color.
I love the color selection. I'm giving some away to another friend who recently had surgery so she can figure out what size fits her best as well.

I love these panties!! I was looking for something that offered full coverage with a retro feel. Basically granny panties that were still attractive. These totally fit the bill! The only small complaint I have is that they are really dark colors. There is one beige color and the rest are dark, jewel colors and black. I have a pair of white pants and a pair of beige pants--only the beige panties will work under these pants. Not a huge deal, but the picture for the product shows a pair of white panties....Which totally isn't included.

Also, I ordered a size up. I wear 3x in litteraly everything but I read the reviews and ordered a 4x. The 4x fits snugly (great for pulling things in) but is still comfortable.

As a straight guy who has been wearing panties for many years, these are great! They fit and feel soooo sexy. They are very silky and my wife absolutely loves how they feel and look on me. They are a little higher fit that I usually wear,but I love them! Guys, you don't know what you're missing, panties are so muck more comfortable that those heavy cotton mens underwear. Your clothes slide over them easily and feel great. Your pants even fit better and you can feel sexy just like your wife! Don't feel weird trying them, once you try you'll never go back!

This is a review for the Barbra's 6 Pack Women's Light Control Full Coverage Lace Briefs Panties (Large). I've been looking for underwear for a long time. I have Interstitial Cystisis, so I can't wear any hipsters or bikinis because they press against my lower abdomen resulting in a flare. I used to buy Jockey French Cut Elance Cotton or Comfies underwear, but had major problems with shrinkage with a size 5. The size 6 was too big and would slide around and slip. So I decided to find a different brand in a vintage, high-waisted style that was nylon/lycra instead of cotton.

These Barbra Boy Short Panties are Asian sizing, so they run really small. I wear a size 5 or 6 in American brands. Using Barbra's measuring chart, I bought a 6-pack, size medium. The sizing within the 6 pack was not consistent; three out of the six panties were 1/2" - 1" smaller in the waist and hip than the others. They were too tight for me. The remaining 3 pairs were super comfy until I had to wash them. Even though I washed them in cold water and hung them up to dry, these panties kept getting tighter and tighter with each laundering.

So I reordered these in a size large. They are soooo comfortable! Out of 6 pairs, the light pink pair is too tight in the waist. The other 5 fit and were slightly large on me BEFORE washing. I've included photos to show shrinkage and to show size inconsistencies within a package of size large.

From left to right: the magenta panty on the bottom was not washed at the time these photos were taken. The black panty on top was washed in cold water and hung to dry. You can see shrinkage of about 1/2". The black panty used to be the same size as the magenta one before I washed it.

The next two photos shows size inconsistency within the 6-pack of size large. As mentioned earlier, the pink panty was way too tight. You can see the size difference between that one and the magenta panty on the bottom; it's about a 1-inch difference. The magenta panty fits, while the pink one felt like it was a size small. Yet both are labeled size Large.

The last two photos shows a couple of other pairs that do fit me, though the red one is a tad tight. The turquoise panty is the same size as the magenta one; also, it wasn't washed at the time of these photos. The red one on top is slightly tighter and smaller than the turquoise. The red had been washed in cold water and hung up to dry and has shrunk to the same size as the black one in the earlier photos.

As others have said, order two sizes up from your American size. If you wear a small (size 5), you will probably have better luck buying Large in this brand. Don't let your vanity prevent you from ordering two sizes up from your normal size. You want these to fit comfortably. Let's face it, Asian women are much slimmer and smaller-hipped than other ethnicities, so Asian sizing reflects that.

I can't rate these panties very high because of the inconsistent sizing within 6-packs and because of the shrinkage problem. In spite of careful washing, these panties still shrunk. My size Mediums no longer fit me because they have shrunk to the point of being too tight, causing me great discomfort. Eventually the size Large panties may not fit as well; the laundered ones are already feeling a bit snug. If you don't mind the increasing tightness, these panties are a great deal. But for me, it's a no-go.

I am so glad I ordered these panties. While I did have to get one size larger than usual, I really love them. The seller allowed me to pick the colors I wanted and since I had to send my original order back, they supplied a pre-paid return label. Panties seem well made with great choices and the customer service was outstanding. I will certainly be ordering again. So men or women, if you like this style of panties, you should give them a try.
