Works well enough for my uses

These work well for my oven baked pork roast, beef roasts and steaks. I spray them with Pam, they clean easy and fit the standard size throwaway foil pans I use. After many uses have held up well. No cracking or flaking so far. I prefer these to the Teflon coated type that has flaked for me on occasion.

We have two roaster pans without racks. Without the racks your meat is soaking in the grease while it is baking. The racks prevent that. This is a lot healthier than letting your meat soak in its own grease. We have used them several times and I see no indication that it rusts.
Racks are Chrome

The racks I received are not stainless steel, they are chrome. However, they are good quality chrome, thicker and more heavy-duty than the HIC chrome racks of the same size. I roast 3-4 times per month and after one year, the chrome on both racks is peeling. So ... here I am back for replacements.
Mystery metal from an unknown place

I have not used the cookware yet, because the label made me suspicious. I read the label hoping for information about the materials and care of the rack. There was no information about that. Here is what the label said:
"CHEFLAND ROASTING/C OOLING RACK(sic)
2 PACK
(10x6 IN)
"This roasting rack allows you to roast your poultry or meat without it touching the bottom of the pan. Roasting refers to cooking with dry heat. Without a roasting rack, the poultry or meat would boil in its own juices. Using a roasting rack is also a healthy way to prepare roasts as it allows the fat to drip off the poultry and meat and rest under the rack."
So that is a mouth-watering sales pitch, but the manufacturer's label does not say this product is made of stainless steel. Only the Amazon label says stainless steel. That's because somebody named this product "Stainless Steel" when they posted the listing on Amazon. It didn't come that way from the manufacturer.
The label also does not say what country this rack came from. Usually products from China say "made in China".
The problem with mystery metals from unknown places is, you just don't know what is in there. There could be traces of toxic heavy metals or radioactivity or anything. Unlabeled metal items being unloading at low prices on the internet is not something I want to mess around with, so I will not be using these racks to cook food.

Appear to be copper chrome plated steel.

I filed an edge of this rack and found that just under the outer "silver colored" coating there was a copper colored layer ..... based on what I know about metallurgy and plating this indicates that these are NOT STAINLESS STEEL BUT ARE COPPER-CHROME PLATING OVER STEEL. Manufacturers would have no reason to go through the expense and trouble of plating true stainless steel.
