Doesn't seem to function in my hot greenhouse, I went and bought the full mechanism and ram for $14.99 from Harbor Freight tools.
Whet in exactly as the original and works great.

Replaced the old one from our greenhouse. This appears to be a genuine replacement part as it had all of the same markings and numbers stamped on it as the original. Whet in exactly as the original and works great.

I live in sunny Southern California and purchased it in November. It got stuck in the open position the following April.
Not durable!!! My original lasted years, but this replacement lasted 5 months. I gave it 2 stars because it worked for a short while.
