This item itself is pretty nice. Clear picture and voice. Took 8 hours to install. The main issue I have with this item is that you should not buy the suggested items that Amazon posts are most often purchased with this Video system; such as the Lee Electronics 323M 16VAC Power Supply and the RCI Electric door Strike. These items are not compatible and will not work together!

I tried to wire the door lock too. to no avail. I bought the transformer/power supply for the lock and no luck. Instructions are extremely poor. Does not show how to wire nor does it mention that one needs a power supply. Whats the since of a multi unit intercom if you cant open the door! I would not buy again. I feel totally ripped off with no support.

I spent a fortune to install the product. Be aware that this item needs hard wiring and my contractor had to set up a new wire from the basement electrical box. The installation costed more than 15 times of the product cost. After all the hassle, the unit is finally installed but both bells ring the same unit. I had to find another contractor (the previous one was irresponsible and not willing to help) to repair but it appears that the outdoor circuit board is broken and it's causing the the door bells to ring the same unit. Now I need to spend another fortune to pay the contractor to re-install.
I contacted Amazon and the vendor and still waiting on the solution on the product. For the first time intercom users, I would recommend to stay away from this product unless you are willing to spend around $3000 for installation and a few thousands bucks more for after mess.
