I don't know how people are saying it hurt their ears and it's uncomfortable...they are use to protect the ears from heat when using styling tools, helps minimize the heat when under a hooded dryer and helps with preventing staining on the ears when applying color. They are just suppose to hang over the ears. Since the 80's I remember stylists using these when they did roller sets to prevent the dryer heat from burning of the tips of ones ears.

BUYER BEWARE!!! These things are useless. They are HUGE pieces of HARD plastic, that DO NOT stay on. They come with no instructions and your ears still get full of water because they literally fall off constantly, no way to keep them on.
