I installed these on my brand new 2017 Triumph Bonneville, and then with exactly 699 km on the odometer, my bike died on the highway. This happened at night, with little shoulder to pull onto. My new bike had a faulty ground wire, a manufacturing defect. No headlight, no hazard lights, no motor, no nothing.

The ONLY thing that worked on my bike were these lights, and they were the only thing that kept me visible that night on the highway while I waited on the tow truck. Thousands of miles later they still work, and I ride in all weather conditions, including heavy rain.

There's also nearly zero drain on the battery. I accidentally left them on all night once, and the next day my bike fired up just as quick. VERY happy to have accidentally found that out.

These lights are bright, easy to install, and low/no maintenance. I'll buy this product again or something similar from the same company.

Other pros:
- you can choose from multiple colors to suit your mood
- the set comes with two remotes
- DEAD EASY to install

Cons:
- fragile connections - be careful when installing or moving the wires around, and be sure to point them out to your mechanics - I had a couple of light strips malfunction and had to replace them after my shop repaired a faulty ground wire.

Verdict: not only would I buy this again, I might buy more to put on my current bike with the existing set. Just a great, low-maintenance product.

what a disappointment. out of the box a good looking system that was simple to install and expand as well. no tricky components and all needed items were available. it looked so good i decided to add more strips which enhanced the overall effectiveness of the lights and added to the safety aspect of using these lights. within several weeks of actually using them the colors available begin to disappear, first red then blue then white. to the point where lights were flickering on and off. contacted customer service who was eager to help once the 48 hours passed. emails went back and forth for several days. eventually a replacement control module was sent at no cost. it worked for a week and then the same thing started to occur. . i decided to buy a module for 17 dollars and send back the other one. installed the new module and still no red lights which are the most important for safety. i will continue to try to get them to send me a working module. i am invested in time and money and hope this company can make a module that works instead of the garbage i am receiving.

I paid a shop to install this kit. When I picked up my bike they only gave me the smaller remote. They lost the main remote that has all the features on it. Also they didn't install the control box and it was draining my battery. I contacted opt7 company and told them and asked if they sold remotes and control boxes. They just sent me a new remote and control box for free even though it wasn't their product that failed it was the mechanics. I thought that was really nice of them. Also the lights look great and now that I have all the parts it doesn't drain my battery and is brighter than I thought it would be.

I purchased these LEDs for a 2015 Ninja 300 motorcycle and it is not only plenty bright but the adhesive holds up very well. I found all wires and connectors to work straight out of the box, installation was quite simple and the colors are very bright as well as even between all strips which is what you get for the higher priced packs such as this kit.
I also like the dual remotes, one small one for the key chain that does simple color changes, on/off, and brightness. For more advanced features you get the flat style remote typical for most LED strips. Plenty of color options with the RGBW LEDs on the strip as well as music activated, flashing, and other animated styles.

Zip ties and heat shrink worked plenty well, no issues at all with that. Remote is not line of sight so no need to have a sensor hanging out anywhere. I was able to install my main control box in the tail of a 2015 Ninja 300 motorcycle. while still having room for tools and a security system.

I don't give 5 stars for everything and no I didnt get anything free for this. This is a good set than comes with enough connectors of short and long and splitters to make running the lights easy without worrying about are you going to have enough connectors. They send enough zip ties also. The only issue they need to send a few alcohol pads luckily I had enough laying around the house. I ordered extra lights unfortunately those lights didn't come with the extra short connectors or zip ties. The add on lights didn't come as well stocked as the kit. I like the fact I can get extra lights to expand the kit I added 10 more sets for a total of 24 to to my kit and it looks good. I have heard of trouble with the remotes no issues with anything yet I will keep everyone posted. I wish I had gotten the one that changed to the beat of the radio. You will not go wrong with these lights you will save money doing it your self and not paying someone else at the bike rally to do it it is easy to do
