I'm not crazy about the amount of sugar but it is cheap calories in a bad situation. I got these to stay in the car so the USCG approval was key to choosing this. We live in Florida but have family up north where the snow blows high. I wanted something that could stay in the car regardless of temperature extremes for a year or more. Just something to eat if we were ever stuck in a ditch or snowed in on a Interstate or need something to shove in the mouth of a unruly passenger. This is just one of those I hope I never need it but feel better to have it things.

Bought the 36 pack a few days ago and got them today, a day earlier then expected. 6 flavors (cherry, vanilla, apricot, orange, lemon and tropical fruit). I tried the tropical fruit one. First off, not what I expected of an energy bar since I'm use to cliff bars. These are like cookies with a kind of gritty texture. But the flavor was actually good. Not sure if it was just the amount of sugar or not though haha. But I will be using these for hiking and camping and I will be getting more of these. I'll update when I've tried the other flavors. The ones I've checked were made Aug 2015. Still got 4 yrs to go.
