Great boots! Fashionable and warm!
Jordan✓ Verified Purchase•August 26, 2023
Love these boots! They are both functional and fashionable. I've walked 30+ snowy miles in them and they still look/feel great.
Just got back from a 2 mile hike with my dog(pics). It was 25* and 3" of fresh powder over 5-8" of packed snow. As always they kept my feet dry and warm.
I'm normally a street shoe sz 9.5 and ordered these in a 10 they fit perfect (those saying they weren't warm probably didn't have some toe space). I wear these daily to the bus stop- sometimes in negative degree weather (upstate NY). And have never had cold toes.
I've recently been to a winter carnival on a frozen lake (20* with a wind chill in the single digits) with only a thin sock and my feet were warm all day. Definitely worth it!
I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect boot, and glad I chose these.
As for color-I wanted grey to match my North Face Shelbe Raschel jacket (another awesome North Face product!!) So I got the discontinued grey/pink option.
My only issue with these boots is.. if you're lazy like me, they can be tough to get on and off-if you don't undo the laces. So really not an issue ðŸ˜

Pretty boots but gave the appearance of cankles

We bought these for my wife so this is her review: These are very attractive boots in the box. They look like they won't make my long skinny feet look manly but, alas, they did. The shoe part is made of a flexible material instead of hard stiff winter boot material so the front of the boot just flexes wide. The leather is stitched to this flexible material and this part of the boot flares out and slouches a little giving the appearance of fat cankles. No amount of cinching of the laces helped so my skinny feet just kept sliding forward. On a positive note, the inside of the boot was very warm. The insole was moderately cushioned and has just a little arch support so it was moderately comfortable. They came up very high on my short calves. I feel like I could walk in deep snow with these and stay warm and dry. I wanted to like these but I couldn't get past the wide forefoot and slouchy cankles and loose fit. I will be returning these. I ended up buying a very expensive pair of Ugg boots that are made like a traditional snow boot with the right combination of warmth, snugness, comfort and flexibility with walking, yet didn't make my size 9 foot look manly.
I can walk through anything!

I love these boots because I work in a downtown area but I live in a country area. My mornings in the winter start with walks to the car in the mud and then I step out into city sidewalks with puddles of who knows what mix with snow. These boots are nice enough I can wear them in both elements and make them work. They are also like walking in moon boots so that's a huge plus. They are a little wide in the ankle but I think I can eventually figure out how to make them a little more snug. I love them.
Very happy with this boot. Added update

I love the boots, trying to decide if I should return for 1/2 size up. Had them on a couple of times in the house now just testing before I wear them outside. I think they are going to be fine, but I won't be able to wear real heavy socks with them, normal winter socks are working. That said I think my feet will still be plenty warm. I did see in some of the reviews where the boot is hard to get off because the ankle/leg is so tight. This was true the first time I tried to get them off, but I loosen the strings and with time breaking them in I don't see that as a problem in the future, plus I kinda like that they hug my ankle and leg.
Update: I did end up returning the boots for a 1/2 size larger. Have already received and so glad I did. I hesitated and almost kept them because they fit but were snug. The 1/2 size larger is much more comfortable and I can wear boot socks with them. I still believe they would be plenty warm without boot socks. As for the tightness when taking them off, again they are a little tight, but I don't have a problem getting them off (plus it reminds me of when my Dad had me pull his cowboy boots off as a kid ðŸ'‚, a happy memory). Buy the boot but recommend 1/2 size larger.
