Something's changed about this product. Not as soft.
Tea Drinker•December 14, 2016
What has happened to this product? We've been using Quilted Northern for years and loved it. Now, it's stiffer and I swear the rolls are just a fraction narrower than they used to be. Something's changed about these (assuming the last shipment wasn't counterfeit). This product isn't as good or as soft as it used to be.
5-1/2-Inch Diameter - Huge, but Not TOO Big!
S. Roth•October 29, 2016
It's silly how long I researched until I added this item to my cart. I was worried the rolls would be too big in diameter for our holders, and nobody seemed to have posted the DIAMETER of the product. The outer diameter is in fact a solid 5 1/2 inches (of which 1 1/2 inches is the cardboard inner roll), but the rolls fit just like the previous double/triple rolls had, so no problem! Lots of TP, and less changing of rolls! The product is super soft, but not quite as stable/solid as Charmin. Still, it's a much better deal, and probably easier on our old plumbing (house built in 1908!) than Charmin. It's even rated safe for septic tanks.
but that is pretty rare as well

This has been the toilet paper we have used for several years now. We have a family of 5 and the two mega packs last a month. The only issue I have is sometimes the layers stick together and it is difficult to separate them, but that doesn't happen very often. It is very soft and plush toilet paper and well will continue to use it. You can't use too much or it will clog the toilet, but that is pretty rare as well. I wouldn't continue to use it if it weren't far above any other toilet paper I've tried.
Excellent paper!

Excellent paper. It is not easy to find these Mega rolls in the stores. If you do the math and compare the square footage on these rolls compared to the size and price of other rolls, it is obvious that these are the best buy for the money. One just needs a little extra storage space to take advantage of this. The triple sheets also mean that we use less paper to get the job done without any nasty surprises! I don't want to get too graphic here, but I think most folks will get the drift.
There was a time when we could find Quilted Northern Jumbo rolls too, even a bigger bargain than these are, but they seem to have disappeared to the nether land of lost favorite stuff.

Soft on the hand but not so much on th bum
Clear Blue•February 5, 2016
This is the only kind my mom use to use so I thought I'd give it a chance. It is thick and it doesn't take as much for each use because of that. It feels soft on the hand but my bum doesn't agree. One reason I switched from Charmin sensitive aloe and e is because I started having a rash and itching from it. The rash and itching has gone away with just a couple days using this but being so dry, it isn't as smooth as the Charmin and is sometimes painful to use just because it is so dry. I wish I had not developed an allergy to Charmin. I will use this a bit longer it may be my bum needs to adjust to it. I just wish I could find a really soft toilet tissue. If anyone has any recommendations I would appreciate it.
