Quality cable with awesome sound! Works great to connect Chromecast Audio to my pioneer receiver, and it sounds fantastic. The only gripe I have for this setup, which is really not a problem with this cable at all but with my gigantic receiver in a too small entertainment cabinet, is that this cable sticks out a good two inches or so from the back of the receiver before it will bend. This causes the receiver to sit further forward and stick out of the cabinet more than I'd like. This rigidness could be a sign of quality for all I know, and this cable really does scream quality. So for future buyers, just beware of this limitation and don't try to use it in tight spaces. They do sell L connectors for your receiver if you have this issue and it cost a couple bucks.

All these years with an iMac and I didn't believe the iMac had an optical output at the very back of the headphone jack. I bought this mini-Toslink to Toslink cable and voila, the IMac now shows Digital Out as an audio output option. The sound quality improvement was night and day different. The audio now has more "fullness" in the lower frequency range, so voices sound fuller with more body. This is a subjective description of the sound improvement, but it's definitley better than the analog signal that comes from using a 3.5mm-RCA cable or headphones. Digital output volume is also clearly louder to boot. This is the cheapest investment I've ever made for improving the audio coming from my iMac (without adding a DAC). If you're using a Mac and want better audio quality without getting a DAC, try this. I highly recommend it.
