Very happy with my Robocup...

This thing really stays in place once you overcome the really strong spring clamp and get it attached to a vertical tube or pole. This is a revised review, as my first review spoke of a website glitch which has now been fixed. After my review about a missing part, I was contacted by the company and the part was sent out to me. Definitely would give their customer service 5+ stars.
I still held back a star due to the fact that it is not a universal fit for some cups and containers. I have a vacuum cup that fits well, and I use that cup specifically for my surf fishing days, as my Robocup is clamped on my homemade pvc fishing cart. (The second cup holder is awesome for holding my phone up and out of harms way!)
I haven't tried doing it, but I think an insert would be easy enough to make out of a foam can holder, if you needed your can or bottle to be more snug in its fit. Be creative, folks!
I would totally recommend the Robocup (and have!). You'll be impressed with how well made it is.

All I wanted to do was read in bed and have a place to set a glass of wine. A place where the wine wouldn't spill on the bed. The dresser is too far away but there isn't room for a nightstand. There is a floor lamp next to the bed, so I started searching for something that I could clamp or bolt to the lamp pole that would support a pound or two of glass and liquid.

I had to push hard to get the clamps to open, and that means that the cup holders are tightly attached to the pole. They are also close enough to the pole that there isn't any question of the cup holders and contents over-balancing the floor lamp. It's rock-solid.
I put on my jammies, poured glasses of wine and water, set them in the cup holders, and got into bed with a book, two cats, and a boyfriend (who is happy not to hear me complaining anymore about the lack of a place to put my glass). I'm happy, he's happy, even the cats are happy.

A cup holder should not make someone as happy as this thing does! Sure its a little expensive compared to other cup holders but this one is so much more versatile and well built.
I am using it on a mobility scooter, aka Electric Convenience Vehicle ECV. It clamps right onto the front tiller bar. Convenient to hold drinks (of course), snacks, keys, and even portable battery packs for charging my phone. It doesn't get in the way of my knees, I don't even have to remove it when I fold the tiller bar down for transportation.
I'm going to get one for my cousin who is a drummer because I think it would be really useful for that application too!

This is the best cup holder ever!! I spent twice as much for a single cup holder designed to attach directly on the arm of my scooter, and in less than 24 hours IT BROKE OFF!! I took it back to the place where I purchased it, and of course they replaced it, but even the second one didn't last even 24 hours before it too broke! At that point I knew I was not going to go back and get a third. I tried to repair it with Gorilla Glue, didn't hold for even a minute after 48 hours of cure time, so in the garbage it went! This cup holder though, it's PEEFECT!! I can clamp it on my steering colum and away I go! I can take out one of the bottoms and it will hold either a fishing rod or my cane... or leave it in to carry my small odds and ends so I don't have to lug around my purse! I LOVE IT!! These things are awesome. Bought one to clamp to my Millenium Marine rod holders in my boat. Slots make for easy mounting of other things to the side to hold all my crap. Really cleans up the bow of my boat. Options are almost endless. They will clamp tightly to round stock probably as small as 1/2in. and maybe up to 2 inches. It holds well on my seat post and it's a Ranger 1.77 diameter. These are so useful that I bought 2 more and just got them yesterday. I did drill 2 small holes in the removable cap on the bottom to allow water to drain. Not a manufacturing problem, I just like taking a good product and making it work better for me. This is one of those products that when you pick it up, you say "why didn't I think of that?" These would make perfect gifts for for any guy, no matter what they are into. And there is a pink one for the ladies too. Of course my wife wants one of those.
