Great for sous vide
Denise Mineo✓ Verified Purchase•November 4, 2016
I have purchased two of these products. I do not use them for pot lid storage, but I do use them in my sous vide cooking. I have a plastic tank that I cook in. When cooking via sous vide it is important that water be allowed to circulate around the bagged food. This rack is perfect for this purpose it holds the bag off of the bottom and separates the bags so water can flow around under and above. They can be used either upright or upside down to help keep the bag submerged. Sometimes you may want to remove some of the upright tines to allow for bigger items depending upon the size of your tank. It is easy to unscrew the tines. Since that will leave screws pointing up, you will want to cap them so they do not puncture the bag. I do this with small ~1/4 inch pieces of 1/4 inch tubing, I use the tubing that is used for my drip irrigation system, works perfect. This item does appear to be stainless steel and they don't rust after a few days submerged. Keep in mind that neither the rack or my added tubing actually contact the food, so there are no toxicity concerns.
I have no idea if these work for pot lids but they should, and they would be handy for other organizing tasks.

Why did I not have this years ago?
I have a gigantic set of pots and pans and the lids are always a pain and sliding around in the drawers making it murder to put the pans away. So when I saw this, I decided to try it.
It holds all my pot/pan lids--and I love that it pantographs back and forth, because I've stuck more than one lid in a slot with no problem. It sits in my lower cabinet and the sudden increase in available space in both my pan drawer and that cabinet has been wonderful.
Not to mention I no longer have to dig through layers of lids to find the one I need when something decides to boil over.

Perfectly adjustable Lid rack

Exactly what I had hoped it would be. Fits in drawer perfectly and could be adjusted so that the lids tilt enough to fit within the height of the drawer opening. Glad I ordered two so I can give one as a gift.
Will work for my needs, but could be better.
Seams To Be Sew•September 22, 2014
These are pretty darn cool. I ordered several of these, some for my pot lids and they work perfectly. Once you screw the little holders onto the base (and you don't need a screw driver to screw them on) you can slide out the sections based on how wide your lid is. It's nice for those really big lids, that because they would stand up straight would not work well in this holder, but because each section can be contolled based on how far you slide it out, you can make one wide section for those lids and lay the big lids on a diagonal angle instead.
I also use this for sewing. I have these sheets of applique paper I use that stand up well in the different sections.
The only bad part about these are that while they are strong, the poles are very short, only about 4-inches tall, so it is difficult to put anything that is really tall in it and while you can contol to a degree how wide each section will slide out, at some point you won't be able to control each section. It would be nicer if the poles varied in size so that you can have taller items towards the back and shorter to the front of the organizer.
