BGE Gasket Cheat Worked!

Big Green Egg user here. I cheated and it worked. Didn't disassemble and take top off at all. And no acetone.
Took a propane torch to the old gasket, then removed it off with a scraper - 10 minutes tops. Then I sanded off residue with a palm sander - 5 minutes tops. Looked clean. Applying this product was easy. Just go slow and only apply 4-6 inches at a time. I have large egg and there was plenty of extra.
Total time including running to basement and garage for propane torch, scraper, and utility knife and then opening package - less than 30 minutes. Probably more like 25 mins.

Worked fine on my large Green Egg. Easy install and no issues so far with durability. Just make sure the lid fits all the way around and you're good to go. As good as the original I think.

This worked perfectly on my large green egg. Plenty of gasket for the replacement with some left over. Youtube has a good video on how to replace the gasket. I'm not sure why the item details doesn't give the length and width of gasket material provided. Probably something the seller should add to the item description. I read the questions/reviews to ensure it was the amount I needed to do the job,

Installed on my vision egg and it's already (within 6-8 months) not sealing up properly. I followed directions for installation and installed to a clean surface.....I should've stuck with my factory gasket. This one will not seal very well at all.
