I've been putting off getting some sandalwood scent in my life. It all started about 2 years ago when I was perusing different shaving equipment in a store. This store also had colognes, smelling them one by one I came across their sandalwood scent. Needless to say, after not having any success finding a cologne I identify with, I was smitten. The sweet earthy aroma of sandalwood hit my nose and I was instantly addicted with only one question to ask, "how much?". When the shop keep told me the price was $100 a bottle I was torn, add atop to the mountain of purchases I already made that day? No I said, wait and the quest to add this to your life will be that much sweeter. Fast forward to today, after hating shaving everyday (military standards) I now can't wait to squirt those two drops into my hand and massage them into my face, invigorated by the smell I've long awaited to withhold. It also helps that it feels great after a nice shave. Great product, keep it up, and thanks for asking how I like it.

I bought this after-shave balm around the same time I bought my first epilator. The epilator leaves my skin more irritated and dry than a regular shave. Lather & Wood saved my life! My bikini line was so bad I was almost in tears. I know lotion would've stung, but this balm was instantly soothing and calmed my red angry skin! It has a light scent that isn't overly masculine, and an incredible texture. Best after-shave product I've ever bought.

This is a nice product, whose scent matches perfectly with the Lather and Wood shaving cream. Unlike many other so-called sandalwood scented products, there are no intruding additional scents. I personally am not fond of the dispenser, which is a pump type. It takes special attention to figure out which direction the product is going to be dispensed, and the pump seems to be a bit erratic in the amount dispensed. With that flaw in mind, I reduced the rating by one star.

My Grandfather shaved with a Straight Razor. My Dad always intended to pass it along to me, but, unfortunately, it rotted and rusted away in my Mom's attic. I decided it was time to make my Dad proud and Shave Like A Man.

My Dad used a Gillette Safety Razor when I was small; because, of course, I learned from him. He did not skin prep, but wet his face and lather up with a brush on a bar of soap. World War II, I guess. As I grew up, he shifted to a Sunbeam Electric. His Aftershave of choice was either Old Spice or Bay Rum. That was it.

I feel most fortunate to have survived long enough to enjoy the new resurgence of Straight Razor Shaving. I had a lot to learn. Luckily, Youtube has many training videos, and they have kept me alive. I had a steep learning curve, and so far I have been successful, in that I have not yet cut my own throat.

I now shower before shaving, instead of after, and use Shaving Oil, Shaving Soap and Badger Bristle brush, and and an After-Shave Balm at the end. I began using OTC Nivea products pre-and after-shave, but didn't think they worked well enough. I decided to upgrade and chose Lather and Wood Pre- and After-Shave. It has made a tremendous difference. These products are made for Straight Razor Shaving.

Both Oil and Balm do their job and leave a pleasant subtle aroma behind.

I scrolled through several positive reviews and decided to purchase, but upon receipt of this product I am 100% convinced the reviews are paid. Plain simple this stuff stinks, as in it smells terrible. I was thinking sandalwood as in a nice masculine scent but instead it smells like a Loews or home depot section. I'm not going to claim false advertisement since they got the wood smell right , minus the medicine/chemical undertone. I'm early 30s maybe someone in their 50s might like it
