I have been setting up lights for years & I thought this was a good price for a lighting kit

You get what you pay for. I have been setting up lights for years & I thought this was a good price for a lighting kit...(well again, I got what I paid for)
The light box was a challenge to set up, in all of my years of setting up lights...Iv'e never had 4 separate poles to set up the light box. (Not easy to set up & break down)
The lights themselves were wrapped good but some of them were so snug in the box that I had to rip the box to get them out. This is not a good thing because if you want to break it down & transport it later you'll need the boxes for the lights.
Attaching the actual light bow to the pole. WTF!!! Are you kidding me!
The pole themselves are durable but a twist knob to tighten rather than a clamp can be time consuming.
I would definitely spend the extra money to get a more solid set up.

Absolutely love them! After hours of debating which softboxes to get, I went with these, and couldn't be happier! I'm new to photography, so I'm not too hard on these, but they've been taken down and transported three times with now problems, no tears, nothing broken, and they're up in my studio every day. They're bright, and don't get hot. If you're new to photography, or just need some simple, quick and easy lighting, pick these.
Great quality, the softboxes were super hard to assemble ...

Great quality, the softboxes were super hard to assemble because the rods were unbendable (I'm pretty strong but these were were difficult to bend) and the instructions were awful (looks like they were made in nonenglish speaking country and skipped many assembly steps) but once setup these worked well.
I want it to be bright enough but didn’t need/want anything super powerful/exepensive since these are just for basic videos

I bought this with the intentions of doing quick YouTube videos for my business in my apartment. I want it to be bright enough but didn't need/want anything super powerful/exepensive since these are just for basic videos.
The good:
I went with this because the price was good and that it had an inner baffle. I didn't want any hot spot from my lights and this setup was the few that had an inner baffle. Light is more than bright enough. I'm only using half the power and it is more than bright enough when all my apartment lights turned off. All the bulbs worked and I had everything setup within 30mins.
The bad:
The price is cheap and it was expected that this set will be light weight. Everything from the stands, lights, cases are light weight. I wouldn't expect this to last long if you're carrying it from gig to gig. However, for my needs, I am leaving them permanently set up so I wouldn't be breaking it down and up.
Overall:
For my needs they work and they met my expectations. They performed as they should and I am glad I didn't go overkill as the lights are just for basic YouTube videos. I'd recommend them so long you know what you're getting and what you need it for.
