My boys absolutely love this brand. Chuck (Malt/Shz) is 18 lbs and Harley (Pom) is 4 lbs and when the package arrived my boys must have smelled it cause they instantly started going nuts, even though, I couldn't smell a thing. Harley is super picky and will turn his nose up at a lot of treats.... but not these! I know there are a lot of brands out there that have a strong smell but these didn't.....there is a hint of odor but nothing overpowering. Since my pom is only 4 lbs he can't chew on it so his big brother Chuck helps him out by chewing the top of the bully stick for about 5 min and then Harley will take over. Chuck then gets his own stick which he has no problems with. I also like that it's made here, I will not buy any dog toys or treats that have been made in China and I make their dog food so I'm very cautious of what I give them. These sticks are going to last me a long time because of the size of my dogs. This is a fantastic brand and I highly recommend it.

My girl got sooo many treats for Christmas. She got smelly fish treats, marrow bones, two Barkboxs filled with lots of treats... she ditched everything for one of these bully sticks. I will say that they smell terrible to me, not an 'ugh I'm going to vomit if I don't get away from that smell' but at the very least an 'oh, wow! That's...bleg. I love you but don't you want to eat that by yourself far, far away?'. We had previously bought no odor bully sticks and they smelled like absolutely nothing; however, they weren't as exciting to chew and were much pricier. We're already on our second bag of Sancho and Lola's bully sticks and this is what we'll continue buying!! Two paws up and major tail wags.

Harley is a soft coated wheaten terrier (26 lb). She is not a 'chewer'. She will sit and work on a bully stick until it's finished, it takes her about an hour. It does give her loose stool so she only gets them every other week or so.

UPDATE: While I was disappointed w/ our experience (see below), I was really impressed w/ the company's great customer service. Giving them a 3rd start just to recognize their commitment to communicating with customers and trying to constantly improve the business.

I'm writing this review with regret. I tried out the product based on the great reviews. This first experience was fantastic -- our young puppy loved the bully sticks and could go at them for hours. We were so pleased, once the first bag ran out we ordered 3 more. I could tell off the bat that something was different. While the bully sticks in the first bag were brown/tan, like the pictures, the ones in the 2nd batch were a very dark brown, almost black. I figured this was just a result of the natural process, but they are significantly less appealing to our puppy. He chews them for 3-5 minutes at most before moving on to something else. They also smell different, and seem much dryer. Not sure what happened, but am disappointed and not sure what to do with our 2.5 bags of uneaten bully sticks :( Hope you have better luck!

First off let me say that I love supporting small businesses so that part is a no-brainer. Second, I don't like to give my dogs anything not sourced and made in the US. I've ordered these a couple of times and have been more than satisfied with them. They must have good quality control, because even though they warn that each stick may be different than another, there isn't that much variation. Length and thickness were as uniform as you could expect for a natural product. Apparently my dogs loved them, because they certainly got chewed up right away. That's the only downside. Even with little dogs (under 20 lbs each) they chewed them up pretty quickly so for the money you don't get a lot of hours of entertainment. If you only had one dog, this would be a great bargain. Now that I'm typing up this review, I'm going to order some more because my 1 yo Pug is very chewy and needs something healthy to gnaw on. If my older dogs get hold of one, all the more fun. Another plus is these sticks don't stain your furniture or carpet!

Sancho & Lola's 6-inch bully sticks are perfect for my Cocker Spaniel. He weighs about 20 lbs and one bully stick will last him about 5 or 6 hours of chewing and chewing and chewing! As Sancho & Lola said, he drinks lots of water between chews. I can tell that he thoroughly enjoys the bully sticks because he takes his bully on his blanket and does not want to be disturbed. After he has chewed on a bully for about 2 hours, he will take a break from chewing. At that time, I will put the bully stick away and give it back to him later in the evening. He has a good chew for a couple of hours and then he is ready for bedtime.

The best thing about these bully sticks is that they are made in the USA. This gives me peace of mind that the bullies are 1) free from toxic chemicals, 2) 100% beef, and 3) safe for my dogs.

Thank you so much for these delicious bully sticks! We will be getting a new puppy in 3 weeks and can't wait to introduce him to these yummy bullies:-)! They will be perfect for teething!
