And why wouldn't a HOSE pot be legal? This pot looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. I use these hose pots with the new "Zero G" 100' hoses from Teknor Apex. We got tired of cranking in traditional 100' heavy duty hoses on Suncaster reels and went to this much easier option. Using this attractive copper pot we can simply dump the hose back in after we finish. No fuss, no muss. Plenty of room left over for nozzles, garden trowels, or whatever else you might like to keep with the hose. Much faster, easier, and less stressful than the old hose reel. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is that out of three of these purchased, one came in with a slightly crushed edge on the lid. Packaging could be better. When I get a chance I will take a rubber mallet and bang it back into round. It still works fine so I put it where I could forget about the dent until I get around to fixing it in a year or two or ten.

Nice decorative pot. Downsides: no center post for ease of unraveling hose and it is thin copper plate, not solid copper.

I've owned 2 of these for about 1 year. While I'm happy overall, I'm extremely disappointed in the fact that one of them has developed rust around the rim of the lid.
Copper does not rust. This "copper plated" lid is rusting.
