Nice storage/shipping trunk.
Dagrah•October 10, 2017
Good storage/shipping trunks, except that much of the much needed space inside is taken up by the shape of the trunk's dimensions. The wheels and indentations take up too much room and therefore take up a few cubic feet of room and the roundedness of the top and bottom make it nearly impossible to stack anything on the top, or to stack it on top of something other than another trunk of the same make and type.
Otherwise, they are water resistant, not waterproof, but are good for keeping the contents clean and dry for storage or shipping. They have three (3) holes for locks, but the holes are a little small for a good heavy duty lock. I drilled mine out a little and it was perfect for my needs.
I recommend this item for small storage needs where your need for the contents to be clean and dry as well as safe.

Good storage for the money.

Bought this for the back of my truck to keep tools, straps, etc. in, Has a lot of good qualities, I just wish they had designed it with flat sides, there is a lot of wasted space on the inside due to the design.
terrible if you plan on stacking or putting anything on top

The body of the storage container is very solid and sturdy and feels strong. However, the top/cover is very flimsy. I placed a 14 gallon tote on top (less than 10lbs) and noticed later that day the the top of the plano was caving in a bit. nothing where i felt like it would smash through, but some of the hinges came off. great if you wont be placing any type of weight on it, terrible if you want to.
I should note that I also have the plano quarter tote and never had a problem with the lid.

OK, Just OK

These are not very sturdy. I ordered 4 and every single one came in two pieces and the lid isn't super easy to install as the hinges are somewhat flimsy. They don't always line up to close properly so you may have to adjust them to get a good close and even then they are now where sealed tight enough to protect from water. They don't stack to well either, just ok. I expected more from Plano.
They look decent and for the less than $20 I spent on each they are passable just nothing to brag about.

Solid box, holds a lot, maybe could use better handles

Good value when I got it for $20, not sure I'd love it if I paid much more for it. Main gripe is the handles or lack thereof. There are sort of hand grips on each end, but I for some reason feel like there should be actual flip out handles or something there. Like I said, solid product, closes tightly, everything else you could expect. I definitely like it, just don't LOVE it.
