Works, however....
Ron Leneker•February 5, 2018
I was able to fit a browning buckmark camper .22 & springfield xd9 service with room for another full size handgun (albeit a close fit) on the top pad alone. I wasnt thrilled about stacking if it could be avoided.
An alternative to this case is the harbor freight pelican knock off's $35ish . Invest in some plasti-dip spray will keep the foam from falling apart & allows you to "heal" portions of foam, placing more foam beneath the top piece helps a lot!

Good carrying case. Use it every weekend.

I use it all the time. It holds more than 4 pistols if you don't put mags with them. 4 below the removable foam and 4 above the foam. It's not a Pelican case ultra-tough lockbox, but rather, a carrying case. Someone can get into it in about 30 seconds. I didn't buy it as a lockbox and I never expected it to be. It's by carrying case for my weekly range trips.
Not Great Without Adding Extra Foam

Was not too happy because when I out 4 of my handguns in the case and drove to the gun range I noticed they all slid down towards the bottom of the case on top of each other. I had to add extra foam to keep this from happening. I will most likely just buy a range bag and carry them all in it and forget the hard case. I might just use if for accessories.
Plano is good stuff !!

I have been using Plano products for many years and have always been pleased with the products.
I do have one very minor issue on this one: "The case also comes with a nameplate order form for personalization; and I did not get the order form as a matter of fact I didn't get any paper work at all. Not a big enough issue to withhold a star for. Did anyone else get the form or know where I can get one?

VG Overall, Good Price... BUT...

I like this item which is good for what it costs, though getting in four ful size handguns would be pretty tough. And it IS lockable. But the problem is that every time it is opened up, the upper part of the waffle shaped foam falls out of the top lid. Will try to secure with some carpet tape as that is irritating.
