One year and its completely broken.

After having it for exactly one year, the bike imploded. The gear system folded in on itself and destroyed the entire rear of the bike. Frame, gear chain system, rim, and almost my wifes legs. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars and dont by Schwinn as they're clearly no longer the Iconic brand when it comes to bikes.

To be fair, I bought it used, so I can't say for certain that my experience is strictly issue with the product. It functioned fairly well for about a week. Then as I was shifting to lowestest gear the gear shift mechanism jammed against the strut of the mud guard and caused it to bend and lodge in the spokes of the bike tire. Thankfully I was going slowly at the time so no injuries but it couldn't even be unstuck to roll it to the shipping office for a refund. Chances are I experienced a fluke incident so take my information with a grain of salt, but it was a catastrophic failure of design

This bike was hard to assemble and the handlebars are prone to becoming unaligned even if you tighten them on very well. If you're not careful when you're turning your toes hit the front wheel.
With this being said, the bike is super classy. The splash guards and the back saddle tray were a nice touch. I like how it sits more upright than a mountain bike. Perfect for getting around town.

Gears slip on occasion by itself. Seat is miserable, get a gel cover or replace. Great price and rides good. Plus rack on the back is great to strap down a basket and toss in your purse and ride to work. Easy to assemble at home. I easily strapped a child carrier to the back and road around with ease.
