I was expecting a real rug this is just a towel with a border design that appears thick ...there is no backing to this rug so I will use it for now to cover my real rug getting in and out of the tub...I ordered other bathroom items in this color and couldn't wait for these matching rugs ...a few days after arriving I went back to the box I had left them in and realized those were the rugs not face towels ...they were package folded like a face towel so I never bothered to open the package ...I had all the face towels out I needed...so disappointed ...really only the second product I found disappointing ..the first item I failed to read the size ...this time I failed to read the reviews..my own fault ...I order many items a week from here...just be sure to read reviews save yourself heartache....

Turkish cotton, but not plush cotton. As others have posted, it's the thickness of a mid-weight towel (or heavily washed plush towel).
Posters have said they were disappointed by the mid-weight and would have used a hand towel, but it is too small so this mat size is better.
As a mat, it is cotton top/bottom around, without a rubber backing. A rubber backing eventually disintegrates but I went with a mat style.
It is sown with top (banded) and a plain bottom surface (meaning. it's not reversible).
Really, no regrets for the price (2 for $20), but a denser weight would be 5 stars.

Previously purchased Salbakos 'hand towels' and have been very satisfied with quality and performance, my original purchase was over 3 years ago & after constant use and machine washing & drying for 3 years a couple of these originals are begining to show some wear, but have not dissapointed. These Bathmats appear just as I expected and I have no doubt they also will stand the rigors of my usage. I would recommend their products for quality, durability and value.

I purchased these "bath mats" for my newly remodeled bathroom. I put them down and was told they were not mats. I looked at the tags and it said hand towels. I'm disappointed in the product discription being misleading. They definitely were not thick enough to be a traditional bath mat and on the thinner side to be a decent hand towel.
