Good for ball pythons, but...

Great hide for most adult ball pythons; a larger female might not fit through the entrance though. My girl is average size and has extra room in there, so she tends to squish all to the left side, out of sight of the entrance.
Be careful if you use a radiant heat panel in your enclosure! This hide WILL warp in the heat if it's too close/directly under part of the RHP.

I bought this particular hide because it fits nicely inside the storage bins I keep my snakes in. The medium hide is a good size for 3 foot ball pythons. For adult female ball pythons I recommend the large hide. My only complaint is that the hole is a bit small, but that doesn't seem to hinder my snakes from getting in and out.

This is thicker than the plastic used for inexpensive litter boxes, but not the "school lunch tray" solid that I was hoping for.
Still, it has made a very nice home for our 5' ball python. We did need to use a couple inches of bedding underneath for him to really squeeze in by burrowing, but that could not make him happier! He was not as content in a larger hide box.

My ball python loves these! All snakes, but especially more reclusive species like balls, like feeling secure in their hides. This is a perfect product for that. I will continue to purchase these for my reptiles in the future. Very well made and sturdy, easy to clean and I expect them to last a long while.
