NOT at all MATTE - they are all gloss. Matte means no shine or power-like finish. Neither application of lipstick or gooey-gloss is matte. Pretty colors but did not serve my purpose for the appropriate look. The product description is incorrect.

The colors are really cute! These are cute glosses/lipsticks. The fact that I really love the colors kind of over-rule the few negatives, which is why I give it five stars. I only wish that it were more in volume, that the lasted a bit longer, and the tops on the lipstick ends fit kind of loose. Overall, they are really good, though. The price is awesome, and the colors are nice. The glosses mesh perfectly with each lipstick. I am dark-skinned, and the colors all look really great on me. I think that is a good thing because it is kind of hard to find colors that I don't have to blend with something else to look nice. It does not feel sticky to me, however, I have only worn the gloss on top of the lipstick and not alone. The glossed don't feel as if they will be a problem worn alone, though. Another plus, is it is just the right shine and gloss, and it isn't outrageously shine like a disco-ball. I think this is was the perfect blend of colors. A little goes a long way, too, so it's important not to go overboard with the application.
