My granddaughter is 5 months old. I picked this product because the various activities required her to learn how to manipulate a particular item and there were no annoying songs. I also like that it is portable and she'll be able to take it on car rides. She is very attracted to the colors and will engage with this toy often.

I bought this for my niece who was about 1 year old at the time. I figured I'd pick up a Fisher Price one like my kids had and heck, I had when I was little! They don't make it anymore! What the heck?! You can find other manufacturers who have electronics built into "activity stations" but not the old school kind I was looking for. Then I found this one. My brother and sister in law are EXTREMELY picky about what they let their kids play with so I thoroughly researched this company. Ambi is a line of toys made by Galt. I believe that this was made in China but the company is based in the UK. Their record was very good for product safety. European safety standards are higher than those in the US and they exceed those. I felt comfortable getting this for my niece and their parents were happy too!

This is cute. However it is extremely small and not very challenging for any baby over a year old. I think you could use this in the car, or attached to a stroller, possibly a crib or playpen, but, invest in something bigger and more challenging for babies over a year old. It's sturdy, it's cute, it's small, it's ho-hum.
