Holy grail boot

I truly can't say enough great things about blundstones. I've worn these for over a year and a half and they look brand new. I've worn these in mud and dirt, heavy rain, snow & ice, everything. They are fully waterproof and after about 4-5 days of break in these are the most comfortable boots I own. I wear them almost everyday and I work on my feet 9 hours a day. Easy all year round and with a variety of sock types. Never had a blister or issue with them. I wiped them down with a damp cloth when they've gotten dirty, and they look as good as new. Just buy them!
The length of this "dress" style boot is longer than normal, buy accordingly.

The dress style boots from Blundstone run long as the toe box tapers and squares off. Because of this some customers may need to size down and choosing the right size can be confusing. After ready many reviews I made a guess as to what size I would and I think I got it right. My example is that I normally wear a US size 8.5 (always my Vans size). This is difficult with Blundstones as the half size only ads width ad not length, so I could not just size down by a half size in this shoe and I was afraid a whole size would be too much. However after reading other experiences that seemed to be the way to go. So, I wear a US 8.5, sizing down a half size to an 8 wouldn't really do me any good since it would only make the show more narrow and not shorter, which is what I wanted. So I ended up going with a US 7.5 (AUS 6.5) to make the boot shorter, but also keep it wide enough to accommodate my foot size. This seems to have worked well for me.
The boots look great, the deep read color is fantastic and the leather seems to be nice quality (better than Dr. Martens). The only issue I have encounter is that there is a lip on the inside where two materials of the lining meet and on the left boot the outer most material doesn't lay flush and there is a part of it that is hard (perhaps glue or some melted nylon) that pokes my heal. It seems to be a small manufacturer's defect as the right boot does not have the same problem. I'm still deciding if I want to exchange them or if I think it is something that will wear in as I have only tried them on for size at this point.

I feel in charge in these shoes. I bought them 3 years ago, and they are still in great shape! I can run through the food court (6' 195 lbs), and feel secure that the shoe will keep up, and even contribute a little bounce.
great outdoor shoe, buy an insole

I wanted to try this brand to find an alternative to Doc Martins since their quality went down and I wanted a more everyday boot. I live in the PNW and finding a shoe that is non slip and looks great is an important factor to me. I have not had a slip while wearing these in everyday normal PNW weather and the only noticeable wear and tear are sides of the soles and the creasing from my foot bending. They are easy to clean/wipe off and I recommend regular conditioning. They are completely water proof and I have tested by walking through snow, streams and straight into the ocean. I have heard these have lasted some for 6 years so to me that is worth the high price point. the only terrain that I had difficulty finding tread is ice under snow and an icy side walk. It was not as grippy as I liked and am considering buying boot chains for next winter. I do find it hard to style with loose pants and a lot of dresses but that not a product issue.

Back and forth, Back and forth I went on what size to get for the Blundstone Dress boot. Here is my conclusion...
1. Sizes shown on the amazon site are in US NOT AUS. So for example, a 9w/7m is the US shoe size for men and women
I found that out because I thought/was told from the Amazon question section that it reflected the AUS sizing. So I ordered the 9w/7m thinking it was AUS7. Wearing a mens 8.5 us and knowing that the shoe runs large I ordered the mens '7' from the site (sizing 1.5 sizes down). It came as a US mens 7/AUS mens 6.... At first I thought it was tight and unwearable, although my toes were up in the toebox but not touching, it was just tight. So to be sure I ordered (from the Blundstone site as the next size up in amazon would take a long time) AUS 7 (US 8) and Aus 7.5 (US.85) and both were a little too big lengthwise....the 7 fit good in width but the 7.5 was not tight at all (half sizes only mean more material on the instep)I I ended up keeping the AUS 6 (US 7), reminder I normally wear an 8.5 in Nike Free, J&M, Clarks, etc. I found that after a couple of days of wear, and as you may have read, the leather does stretch. In my case it stretched perfectly around the instep and a little around the toe area. I know the sites will say it doesnt stretch for the length, but I found that to be somewhat untrue. Yes, the sole/platform of the shoe wont stretch, but the leather around the toes did a little for me (for me walking up and downhill where my toes were pushed in the toebox). I'm a person that cant stand shoes that are too big or have too much room, especially being in a chelsea boot because there are no ties.
2. This boot runs big
3. 1/2 sizes mean wider/more material on the instep, not length
4. The toe box is wider and a little longer than normal shoes
5. the leather in the toe box will stretch a little, but not the platform or soles.
Hope this helps!
