Okay, so they advertise 12 pairs of shoe laces...we got 11.5! Yes, one of the colors only had one shoe lace (green, watch my video unboxing). The colors were nice and not faded. The quality is what you'd expect for this price and quantity. If you're looking for quality heavy duty laces, keep looking.

Another complaint I had was that some laces are longer or shorter than the other matching shoe lace. The differences ranged from half an inch to 3". This is kinda perplexing how something like this happens. Based on other reviews, this is quite common. They should just include these details in the product description since so many have complained of the same issues.

Update 8/14/17: The company reached out to me after seeing my comments. They offered to do whatever possible to resolve the issues outlined in my review and now I'm very happy with my purchase. Customer service is great here so don't worry about that.

great price for the quantity. i'm using them for my small kids shoes, so for that reason its ok, but they are very poor quality. We have gone through 2 pairs of laces in the last week because they are so finely woven, they shred after using them for a few days. Its worth it to spend more for a good pair that will last the life of the shoes. But for a few throw away pairs, its a good deal, very good customer service.

Unlike other reviewers, I did not experience the random length issue. The 12 colors I received were: Hot Pink, Light Pink, Navy Blue, Medium Blue, Light Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Purple, White, & Black. In a perfect world, instead of White & Black, I'd have preferred a Brown, and maybe a Light Purple, but it's a minor complaint, given the price, which works out to about $0.58/pair. I don't know that I'd trust these shoelaces if I were climbing Mt. Everest, but then again, I wouldn't be wearing cheap canvas sneakers to climb Mt. Everest, either.

Laces were of various lengths, even for the same color. Note the green lace in the picture that was broken and then tied in a knot. As if that's going to work...

I'm updating my review to 4 stars. After the review above the seller reached out to me and provided a refund. And despite the quality control issues on length and breaking/tying, the laces are good laces. They have nice stretch to them that lets you slip shoes on and off without untying.

Very poor quality laces. I only use them to teach kids to tie shoes. They are also different lengths even within the same color. E.g. there are two orange laces, but they differ by almost an inch in length. The colors are fun.
