This is not the newton's cradle for you...

Not a great Newtons Cradle - the entire thing is plastic. Two of the balls fell off in the first 5 min
It looks great. My husband keeps it on his desk

It looks great. My husband keeps it on his desk. It will work as a gift for adult and teenagers.
Doesn't function as claimed.

Item did not come as shows in picture: it did not have that base and it came as just a flimsy metal frame. Build quality is terrible. The balls are suspended using weak fish wire that is actually just glued to the frame. They get tangled at a moment's notice, and mine snapped as a result. Useless.
Mesmerizing

I got this as a gift for my son. Kids are so fascinated by these swinging balls. He still loves this over a year later. I often hear it clicking away in his room. Sometimes it's the simplest toys that resonate the longest.
Works well for kids

Bought a different one originally but it arrived damaged. I read so many bad reviews about pretty much ALL of these, but this was what my 6 year old wanted more than anything for her birthday. I tried this brand after the first didn't work out and it has held up well. Works as expected. The kids often get it tangled since they are really too young for it (I also have a 4 year old) and it is easy to untangle and hasn't broken yet to my surprise!
