However, when the rope is cut to length it's possible that the fibers will expand. It's not uncommon for the ropes to increase almost a whole size in diameter.

The rope is soft and very pliable. The color is much paler than shown in the image but still worked for my project. This ocean plait is 33"x16" long and will be used by the back door so I can dry my bare feet after rinsing.

I purchased 1/2 inch 50 ft in natural to make a rope basket. At first I thought I bought the wrong width it just seemed so wide! However once I started making the basket it turned out to be the size I needed. The 1/4 inch would triple the amount to make the basket I was able to create. Nice and soft material. Guess what everyone's getting for Mother's Day?
1" rope was perfect for my wedding ceremony

I purchased this rope in one inch thickness for my wedding ceremony, and it worked perfectly. My husband and I got married in Rocky Mountain National Park, and so doing something like the sand or candle ceremony wasn't an option due to location, but we still wanted to do something to symbolize two becoming one. Because of this we decided to (literally) tie the knot!
When the one inch rope first arrived, I was really concerned that it was going to be too thick, but it actually ended up working perfectly for the ceremony, and now it also looks nice up on a shelf for decoration in our home. The rope is sturdy but soft, and very easy to bend and do what you need with it. I can't speak to how well it works functionally, as mine is just for decoration, but the knot we tied on our wedding day is still in perfect shape and I'm not worried at all about it coming undone.
At least for decoration purposes, I would highly recommend this rope!

i got tired of buying knotted rope toys every week for my puppy to destroy. this rope seems to do the trick. it's about half the cost by length of the store-bought toys. i get to choose the length that works best for how my dog wants to play, and add handles and other toys between the knots to make a custom tug toy or chew toy.
i purchased the 1/2" red/white/blue rope (since, out of the styles available, it seems to offer the highest contrast and visual appeal within a dog's range of color vision). the 1/2" size works well for my 25 lb mutt-friend (german shepherd/chihuahua/shit tzu mix), but she does have a big mouth for her size.
