Because I'm a big guy, and bald, I tend to sweat a lot. I wear baseball caps when I go out, and the sweat will soak through the baseball cap and make sweat stains. This helmet liner sits above the ears, and is nice and thin. Very comfy. It's thin enough to wear under a baseball cap, which I'm very happy about; because that is the reason I bought it. It soaks up the sweat and my baseball cap doesn't look like it just pissed itself lol. Will update the review later after using it at the shooting range, where it can get very hot.

This skullcap definitely does the job -especially around the elastic band where a tad bit more water is retained. I don't feel that the cap is too tight and it does not induce headaches on my 45 minute commutes to work in 100F temps.

At 100F the cap will mostly dry out and become ineffective after an hour's use which is reasonable. I carry around a water bottle to keep it hydrated on longer rides and when I have the opportunity I like to soak the cap real quick in ice water which can easily be had at stops.

The cap can pull far enough (even moderate male hair) to the top part of my ears too which I like because it keeps them cooler as well.

Overall definitely worth the purchase.

While these are perfect for my husband for work, all 3 ordered were supposed to be black, but we received white. I'll be more than happy to up the stars once resolved. *UPDATE* AMAZING customer service! Received the replacements with overnight shipping.

Just used on my 66 mile ride. Kept the sweat off my face and out of my eyes even though temps reach 100F. After ride I got the liner wet and cooled down.

This cap doesn't seem to cool the way the gel towels do but yet worn under my helmet it really made a difference when the sun is beating down on your head. Did not add bulk or cause me to increase size of helmet. Use in summer for cycling. Absorbs sweat extremely well and keeps sweat from running down into eyes. Also keeps my scalp from getting sunburned through helmet vents. Size wise, it fit me perfectly. 5'3" 134#. I have used it and laundered it several times and it is holding its shape.
