Your Best Buy on a Quality Rangefinder

The VPRO500s does exactly what it says it will do and is considerately less expensive than the two other brands of rangefinders. Customer support from Tec Tec Tec has been superb. If you have never used one of these before, you will be amazed how inaccurate YOUR guess of yardage can often be. This range finder eliminates all doubt and helps you select the proper club for how you are hitting that day. You can buy it with confidence.

Although I own another laser rangefinder (non-slope Bushnell v3), I wanted to purchase this because it provides a slope reading. I highly recommend this rangefinder for its value and accuracy.
Pros: Price - this is a great value for a slope rangefinder at its regular price, and I was able to get a lower price because I purchased it on Prime Day 2017; Accuracy - readings were the same as my other laser rangefinder, and good optics w/ focus controls; Design - Compact; Features - Great case.
Cons: Ease of use - takes a little more effort than my other rangefinder to get a reading from the flag versus background, and i miss the feedback from my other rangefinder (jolt); Construction - the plastic body doesn't seem like it would withstand being dropped on hard ground compared to my other rangefinder

Definitely worth the money at this price point!

Product came quickly and did exactly as described. I still need to get it out on the course but appears to be just want I wanted. The display of yardage is black and the use of the eye piece for adjusting only focuses the Display of yardage, which then can make what you are pointing at blurry, but not to the point of unrecognizable. I typically only wear reading glasses but can read the display without glasses using the adjustment ring on eyepiece. The product is a little smaller than I had anticipated after using a friends rangefinder from a different maker. This is of size that fits nicely in one of my pockets on my golf bag, but does make it a little tough trying to keep the pointer on target while pressing the power button to display yardage, without finding a place to steady my hand further. Overall, I am happy with the unit at this price point, especially including the slope feature.
So far, so great!!

I received this range finder (the slope version) today and used it for 18 holes this afternoon. It worked like a dream. The pin sensor modes, both with and without slope, were easy to target and were always within 1 to 2 yards of a playing partner who was using a current Bushnell model. The scan mode was also very easy to use and came in handy for detecting distances to hazards and such. The normal mode, which I really didn't use much at all, could be problematic because my hands are not still enough to really isolate specific targets - I really don't care though because the other modes worked really well. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone. The only thing missing is the vibration feature that is available on other some of the other more expensive brands, but I really didn't need it - the device was quick to display distance and it was easy to recognize when the flag was isolated. If things change I will update my review but after using this for the first time I am extremely pleased with the unit.
Great price for a great rangefinder!!!

I've had it for just over a week and used it for 72 holes so far. Love it. Works great, easy to use, and the distances are accurate. Build quality and optics are great. 2-year warranty, comes with a battery, and great return policy. Honestly, I've never used a $400+ range finder so I'm not sure what those would do that this doesn't (do they hit the ball for you?). It's very easy to quickly get the accurate distance to the pin and for an amazing price. I got the version with the slope adjust and I highly recommend this version for people that have the self-control to play with it off. It seems very accurate and I've used it only post-shot or on my friend's shot to help train my eye for gauging elevation effect. That feature, which can easily be turned on or off, is illegal for USGA play so if you can't be honest about when you do or don't use it, then get the version without it. If you can play with it off and use it just as a training tool...get it and it works great. I will update this review if needed at the end of the season.
