Super lightweight and packs small. Took it backpacking - left gear and backpack at base camp and used this pack for a 14-mile round trip hike. Used it to carry two 1-liter water bottles, pump water purifier, freeze dried meal, snacks, rain jacket, first aid kit, and fleece jacket. Could hardly tell it was there.

I bought this backpack to carry my stuff in while visiting DisneyWorld. I was so glad it was waterproof because it rained hard for about an hour while there and it kept my stuff dry and didnt weigh me down to carry it around. Only negative would be that I wish the straps were longer to accommodate me better while wearing a bulky sweater ot jacket. I have to wear it fully extended when I wear it. It also came in handy when it came to needing an additional luggage piece. As a result of the wet clothes, my luggage weighed heavier. I ended up using the backpack as a carryon to offset my luggage weight. So having it helped me twice in its initial use.
