Great big blind, but has a shine
firedawg✓ Verified Purchase•August 7, 2023
The blind is very roomy and I own 3 baronnet blinds but the other 2 are blood suede and don't have the "shine" this blind has in the sun.
Easy to set up and take down. Not to bad to get back into the bag of you take your time and roll it up after you collapse it.
Wished it had more shooting windows. Love the mesh fabric but they could improve the shooting holes if they were square instead of round and the designers thought more of seated crossbow shooters instead of just gun.
For the money I gave it a 4 star instead of a5 due to the shine. I think the deer will get jumpy with the shine unless you brush it in good.

I love this ground blind

I love this ground blind. Impressed enough, that I now have two. I have one attached to a platform, 4ft off the ground, and the other I keep portable so I can go where I want with it. I'm amazed how big it is, easily fits two, and I'm sure a third hunter could fit easily. I generally hunt a lone. I'm not tall, 5'6", and I can easily stand up in this blind. A taller person should be comfortable. Lots of windows, quiet open. Two windows have a shooting port, so you'll have to decide which direction you plan to shoot or just move the mesh to the windows to where you plan to shoot, windows are same size. No floor. Zipper entry, makes some noise, like a zipper will. I did notice some early morning sweating inside along the walls and the ceiling. I sat in this blind during a steady rain, no serious leaks, I stayed dry, but I could tell that water did come thru windows. The blind material could be a little thicker, but much better than a lot of other blinds that I have owned. I included a couple photos. This is a nice blind, a good deal for the price. I recommend.
Awful Smell!
John K.✓ Verified Purchase•June 28, 2023
Very nice quality, heavy material. However, when set up initially, it smelled awful chemical smell that resembles putrid flesh. Assuming unknown outgassing from the material, I gave it a few days in the open air - didn't help. Brought it back to the shop and running an ozone generator inside. No way I could use this right out of the box and I am not a queasy person. Good blind, but plan accordingly.
Still getting used to it as far as which windows I like to hunt with open

Quality blind right here with a ton of room and space. The walls are very durable waterproof fabric with plenty of windows. Still getting used to it as far as which windows I like to hunt with open. If you're sitting down and only have the top window open, don't plan on seeing anything. Opening the lower windows is a must if you want to sit and see anything or shoot. I did find it kind of difficult to find an area where I could post it up, but where I hunt has a lot of hills and uneven terrain. Only downsize with the bigger footprint is that it made it difficult to completely sit flush with the ground. Zipper was also kind of loud, but heavy duty. I'd buy it again.
Edit: After hunting out of this blind several times, I still really like it. The biggest con I have is the large base area of the blind makes it difficult to keep the entire blind completely flush with the ground. The stakes are definitely too flimsy for the size/weight of the overall blind. I came back a week later after a little storm and the wind picked the whole blind up and ripped all of the secured stakes out of the ground and moved it probably 10 yards away from where I had it secured

I have owned alot of popup blinds over the years, mostly Ameristep and have loved them. I hadn't heard of Barronett until a few years ago when they came out with the Big Mike blind. I was looking for a large blind for 2-3 people so I started to look at Barronett. I cannot stress enough the quality construction of this product. I received it quickly in two days with amazon prime. As soon as I received it I was impressed even by the bag it comes in that is more of a canvas material with an awesome zipper instead of just a cheap nylon bag. I ordered the grassy camo pattern as I was setting it up beside a food plot in tall grass and the camo pattern is perfect for what I was looking for. The zippered corner unzips all the way to the bottom of the blind and detaches the end of the zipper unlike the ameristeps I've had that always had a stitch in the bottom of the zipper giving you something to trip over trying to get into the blind. Inside the blind one becomes even more impressed, this thing is amazing for a popup blind. So many window configurations one can lose count and the inside of this thing is huge!! I am 6'2" and I can easily stand up and stretch or shoot a bow standing up. Floor space is huge.. 2-3 person is modest as you could easily fit 4 hunters in this thing with a heater and not be to cramped for space. I love this blind and I am glad I went with Barronett blinds.. I've always loved my Ameristeps.. but I'll never by another again after owning this one.
