I love everything about his product with one exception.
The listing starting this is for a 1-1/2" trap-vent that generally imply / perceived as a 1-1/2" pipe to both ends.
However, the listing is either ignorance in this industry or knowing this may be a deal breaker to some, intentionally omits the input port diameter is 1-1/4" and not 1-1/2". I found out this when I test fit its 1-1/2" tailpiece at the input port. I then dug up two other buyers also affected by this issue.
I wish I were well informed about that before I offer my order.

Great simple Studor vent

I was replacing a bathroom vanity and the previous owner had Jerry-rigged a vent for the sink which clearly needed replacement. Looked at various Studor vents and was leery of this one because it looked too simple. This was going in a guest bathroom which will not get a great deal of use so I thought I'd give it a try.
Installation went very smoothly and quickly. Had 4 teenage girls use that bathroom for 2 weeks shortly after installation and it works perfectly. Couldn't ask for more!

Good but....not great for tight spaces (bathroom sinks)

I used this on a customers house; they were getting some bad smell from their bathroom sink.
I cleaned an amazing amount of funk from the existing line- I could have stopped there.
But I chose to add the 20396 for added 'venting'...
No more smell in a 1,000.000 home.
However, this trap vent would work better for a kitchen sink because the 20396's design takes up too much space between the drain and the wall. I was left having to use (2) flexible "form fit" drain kits.
I wish Studor put the vent on top of the unit so that it could be used on bathroom (smaller) sinks.

This solved a lack of available vent issue and stopped the tub and sink from gurgling.

My bad. I wasn't careful enough when reading the product description. This is not for use with kitchen sinks and that is what I needed. I sent it back un-used. The 3 stars are meant to be a neutral rating. No opinion. The return process was painless and quick credit was issued.
