I was having trouble finding a laundry detergent that worked. None of the commercial ones did what they were meant to do. My laundry was still stained/dirty after using detergents like Tide, Ariel, and Gain. Expensive and frustrating. I remembered that I never had this problem in Germany and looked up Persil. I took a leap of faith and decided to purchase Persil, and I am glad that I did. For the first time a while, I know that my clothes will be clean every time I do laundry. Some have complained about a strong scent. I am very scent sensitive and in the past, have gotten migraines from perfumes or visits to the mall. I am glad to say that I haven't experienced that with Persil. It may cost a little bit more, but I guess in this day and age in the U.S., you get what you pay for.

It is a good product, but I purchased it because it was advertised to get whites really white. It does not make a noticeable difference from Tide. It also has an interesting scent that can be overpowering to begin with. After a few loads, you start to get used to it.
