Excellent quality. No local office supply store carries them so it is not only convenient but less expensive than the ones they were going to order for me.
Not as visually secure as I had hoped.

Although these envelopes have thick paper, which is nice, and the peel-off strip seems okay, it is not a very good security envelope. It would seem to be since the criss-cross black ink covers the inside of the envelopes quite well, but if you place a check inside and hold the envelope up to ambient light, it is possible to actually read portions of your check. I use #9 envelopes as return/mailing envelopes for clients--#9's fit well into standard #10 envelopes. I will have to place a folded piece of paper inside of these envelopes to make them visually secure.

UPDATE
I purchased these a second time and the second box was *not* well sealed. In fact, not adequately sealed. Secure closure of the envelope requires tape. Contact with the vendor produced an unsympathetic response along the lines of "product specification has not changed." So I'm back to looking for a good envelope. The first box was entirely excellent; the second box entirely poor with an incomplete band of adhesive set well back from the edge of flap (see image).

Original review titled "well sealed..."
Nothing special as a security-screened reply envelope, just a simple product, properly done and reasonably priced. The outstanding element is the quality of the sealing adhesive "” wide enough and sticky enough to make a secure and tamper-evident seal without adding tape or glue. I'm happy.
Nice envelopes.

#9 envelopes tend to be hard to find, unless you're buying in large quantities. This size is generally used for putting inside a more common #10 envelope as a return envelope, so they're typically only used by businesses. It's rare to need to send a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) anymore.
These are pretty nice though - they have the security pattern on the inside, and are self-adhering (no licking), and generally appear to be good quality. And a box of 100 is pretty manageable for personal use.
A very good quality envelope (Great packaging/storage too)

This is one of those products that I had to get, for a return mailing that I was doing. There aren't a lot of options out there for #9 envelopes without a window so I was pretty much stuck with buying these. Wow, I am impressed. These come in a very heavy corrugated cardboard box that can be re-closed for storage, and the box easily identifies what is inside. The envelopes themselves are a good heavy weight paper, and most importantly once you remove the peel and seal strip, the glue goes the entire length of the flap and all the way to the bottom edge. The envelopes were easy to feed into my printer and came out looking like they were done at a print shop. For something that I had to buy here, I ended up extremely happy and now have a new source for all of my envelope needs.
