Lights for power and heat did not work. Dangerous not to see whether plate is on/hot

Though the magnetic stirrer and heating plate worked fine, it was dangerous that neither the power or heat indicator lights worked.
Stirring mechanism doesnt work and even worse it broke the heating mechanism....

Item came with pieces screwed in upside down making them unusable but that wouldn't have been a big issue on it's own. I just tried using the stirring feature for the first time today, it does not work. Now all of a sudden the heating element has stopped working. Even worse the return window has now closed on the item... very disappointed to say the least....

The unit is working beautifully for me. I had purchased another lower cost unit with no heater, and it went on but the little stirrer wouldn't go to the center to create a vortex, so I sent it back. So far all is great with this one. I have to stir the contents for 14 days, so I keep it in the corner on the kitchen counter where I can hear the stirrer vibrating. Good thing, because it stopped for some reason yesterday, and I had to turn it off and then on again and now it's doing fine. I guess the stirrer can get off center, or the electromagnetic field needs a reset?

Item as described. Works well for what I need without fancy add ons. Using for heat prepping marine broth and agar. Also used for maintaining stirred bacterial culture in Erlenmeyer flask.
