I needed something to remove the goo left over from a decal removal on my truck. I used a number of chemicals, and a magic eraser. Nothing touched it. I wound up ordering the eraser wheel based on a Tacomaworld forum suggestion. It's made out of a similar material to a kids gummy art eraser, which made me wonder if one of those wouldn't work for a smaller project. While the wheel's learning curve is short, it is pronounced. I managed to cook off a 1/3" circle of paint before I got the technique down. The passenger side of the truck was completed in a few minutes, once I knew what to do.

For my application, which was purely goo removal, and not decal, I would suggest the following:

· I used it on the #2 setting on a Dewalt cordless to prevent cooking, and wheel explosion

· Keep it moving. If it sits in one spot too long it gets hot, and it is good-bye paint

· Do not push too hard, or it is good-bye paint

· Have a soft cloth handy to wipe eraser dust away to gauge progress

· Keep the wheel square to the body of the vehicle

· Wear eye protection. Amazon reviews show a number of exploded wheel pictures

· The sticky goo that was dirty was easier to remove because I could see it better. One side of the truck was clean of dirt due to my attempts to remove the goo with cleaners. I wound up doing it at night with a flashlight and found the mess easier to see.

In closing, take your time, don't be an a$$hole like me, and you should be fine.

Bought this product to remove a vinyl sheeting that was on the hood, side mirrors and front section of bumper that was dealer installed when car was purchased. The vinyl on a white car had discolored, been scratched and looked terrible. This Eraser Wheel did the trick. The vinyl sheeting was removed without damage to the painted surface. I used a citrus degreaser to lift the remaining residue and the car looks fantastic.

This wheel does the job of removing old glue from your vehicle. It will leave a residue on the paint. I used
distilled white vinegar to remove it. I just poured some on a rag and rubbed it a little until it all came off. Then wiped the area with some soap and water because vinegar is acidic and may damage the paint if left on for a long period of time. Not a real hard job. I would buy another if needed.

I am a 61 year old 5'3" 110 lb woman who used this on the decals on a 15 yr old 32 foot RV. It removed the decals on the whole passenger side in less than 3 hours using just an electric drill. I had watched the YouTube video recommended in the instructions and found the wheel easy to use. It removed all the decals just as described easily. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants an easy way to remove old decals.

I bought an Airstream that someone put stars and decals that read "Time Traveler" on it. Needless to say, it was a priority to get these off! I read all of the reviews, did all of the research on the best way to remove these and everything said that this wheel was the way to go. It did successfully remove the dirst decal that's i tried, but it severely scratched up the aluminum. It might work better on cars or newer paint jobs, but I returned it after 10 seconds of use!
