Ladies if you are prego and maybe having nausea you may have the wrong vitamins. I bought these one month in my pregnancy because I was so sick and I realized it was after I was taking my vitamins every day.. These changes my life I still take them after 5 months giving birth. These vitamins are with folate and not folic acid ! That may not seem like a big deal but it's between natural and synthetic that could be damaging to your child after birth.. These vitamins are highly recommended by me and I wish I could spread the word even more then just this review. They taste great and please try them and stay away from folic acid that's synthetic vs folate that's natural and your body needs.

These vitamins do NOT contain the vitamins recommended by doctors for pregnancy. Of the four nutrients Mayo Clinic says are essential, these contain:
Folic acid - yes
Calcium - NONE
Iron - NONE
Vitamin D - yes
So now I have to buy more vitamins to supplement my vitamin? Terrible.

I like these but they seem to be inconsistent. The first bottle I received was coated in sugar to the point it was just gross, overly sweet, and messy. I accidentally ordered another bottle and to my surprise they were completely different, no sugar coating and much more tolerable! Liking those, I purchased a third bottle, which was exactly like the first, ugh! I don't know if the formula is changing as well or just the mounds of sugar granules they dump on the bottle but consistency would be appreciated! I've attached a picture of the two different types

Contains Vit A as retinyl palmitate = BAD.

They go out of their way to use the natural form of folate, but then use the toxic form of vitamin A. Retinyl palmitate is pregnancy category X, not to be used during pregnancy. You're not even supposed to use it in lotion while pregnant. New findings suggest it may cause birth defects.
