Awesome! I have several different batches and they have all turned out splendid! I love this machine. It is very heavy so you will need to create counter space for it to live but trust me you will use constantly so it's worth it. The instructions seem to be translated from Italian to English . To make it easy, here's what I do. Turn off machine and unplug to clean. Only hand wash the removable bowl and paddle and lid. Wipe down everything else. Take out your bowl and pour in a half a shot of rum. It keeps the two bowls from freezing and sticking together. Put the bowl back in. Put your paddle in. Then pour in your ingredients, and put lid on, turning to lock and press the power button,use the 30 minute option and press the "play" looking button.After churning, your gelato will continue to freeze. After about an hour of freezing the machine powers off. you can scoop out your gelato after the 30 minute but I like mine to be thick and very cold so I leave it in the machine a little longer. Also, don't pre chill your ingredients too much, the machine will cool things down for you. Plus if your custard is too cold it may churn and freeze too quickly and cause your machine to be faulty.
