This is the second watch I brought, the first was a wind up one and the winding mechanism broke ( cheap). Also it was very difficult to read. So far I like this one, it is battery operated, easy to read and is keeping good time. Only time will tell how long it lasts. It was not expensive either. So I gave it 5 stars, as it is very good. It looks like an expensive watch..

First day of use, so it is a bit early to tell about timekeeping accuracy. But for the first day, it matched the atomic clock I used to set it. It has the raised images of an older style pocket watch, but its bright gold color marks it as new. The older watches were 18k gold or rose gold. I wear it with a vest (waistcoat) and the chain looped from one vest pocket to the other through a buttonhole catches people's eye. It also gives me the chance to act like the White Rabbit, in "Alice in Wonderland", if someone is irksome, I can simply pull it out, look at the time and, say ", Ã'm late. I'm late. For a very important date. No time to say hello, goodbye. I'm late. I'm late, I'm late", and hurry off.

Nice size, and my son loves that it has regular numbers and pops open. Intricate design on the outside. I made a video so that you can hear the ticking. The louder tick tick is from this battery watch. The quieter and faster ticking is the skeleton, mechanical watch that I got for my older son.

Absolutely beautiful. It looks exactly as it does in the photos and comes in perfect condition in a beautiful copper/ gold colored box with a velvet pillow to set the watch in. Amazing quality for price and has a thin film to protect the glass until you decide to peel it off. It's just like a normal watch to set and keeps time wonderfully. (You pull the top button up and then just twist it to set the time and push it back down to finalize the time) when closed you don't hear the ticking so it's not abnoxious. I completely recommend this item to anyone looking to get a beautiful vintage looking pocket watch without spending tons of money.
