Effective and easy to use

Sharp tools make the work easier and faster and (most of the time) safer. I was happy to invest a little bit of money in this product and the time it took to use it effectively. In addtion to sharpening my tools at home I took this to my parent's cabin. It helped me sharpened decades worth of axes that had been replaced long ago but were still stored dull in the garage. This product restored a lot of value to aged tools in a very short time.

I used this to sharpen a small hatchet that I use for gardening - I bought a house with a lot of small saplings growing in the flower beds that were too big to just uproot. The edge on the hatchet didn't last long, but this gadget was amazing. A few swipes and I was good to go again. It was a great purchase for what I needed.

careful, it WILL bite you if you underestimate how sharp an axe can get using this sharpener. It works great on my wood splitter too. shaves those wood strands right off, so you rarely have to force wood apart with your hands. If your axe (or whatever) is totally trashed, youll need to at least get the dents and chips out before hitting it with this sharpener. after that a couple quick strokes after you use your axe for maintenance is all you need

This sharpener works like a champ! I got it to sharpen my hatchet that my 10-year-old grandson uses to chop up wood. Between the 2 of us, we got the hatchet sharpened quickly and easily. Now he not only knows how to use a hatchet, he also knows how to sharpen one.
