Good weights, wish it was longer to fully wrap around.

Good soft weights, though I wish it was longer. It wasn't even long enough to wrap all around my toddler's ankle for walking therapy, therefore the 2 inch space that was only the Velcro would rub and scratch his skin. I lightened his pain with high thick socks, it helped and doesn't scratch his skin but the red mark of it rubbing on his skin with every step still happens.

I waited a while to write this review, because I know products get better/worse over time.
Well, after months of using this product, I am quite confident in saying that this product is no good. It is quite uncomfortable, and it does not get better over time.
You probably won't notice how uncomfortable it is when you first put it on, because it really feels fine in the beginning. However, when you start to move around a little bit - that's when it starts to move around to cause problems. The sand weight thing they use to make the product heavy is quite bulky and hard, and the product provides virtually no padding between the hard part and my ankle. So, when the product doesn't stay in the exact position that you placed in when you put it on, it hurts quite a bit. The only way I found that it won't hurt my ankle is if I wrap my ankle with bandages and socks before I put this on - which I think is highly inconvenient, because the product is supposed to be "comfort fit" even without all those things.
In sum, if you choose to work out with this thing around your ankle:
(1) expect to stop your exercise routine every 5-10 minutes to make adjustments, OR
(2) be willing to wrap and protect your ankle with bandages every time you use this product, OR
(3) maybe learn to enjoy pain and discomfort, if that's you're into.
The only reason I didn't give this a 1-star review is because this product can, in theory, work well for people who feel no pain. Also, I think product can be a pretty good paperweight, so if want an exotic wearable paper weight, go ahead and ignore what I said here, and purchase this product.

I've been using these for weighted pullups and ab exercises, they are more padded and comfortable than most ankle weights I have used and small enough for my small ankles. The sewing is well-done and they seem like they will last a long time.

It may not be clear from the Amazon listing, but the weight of these straps vary by color. The grey straps are only 1 lb. I ended up with those more or less by mistake, 1 lb is pretty light.
The velcro strap isn't sized for the average US male. It requires a quite slender ankle for the velcro hooks to line up with the felt. I'm 5"11, 170lbs, relatively slender and the velcro doesn't reach properly.
They do work for straight leg raises while driving (cruise, nobody around, practiced braking) and working at a desk. If they straps were longer I'd buy another pair at a higher weight.
