Great chalk but dang its expensive. others are just as good when you factor in the price. I converted this to my first chalking and then follow up with other chalks. $15 for 3 "sample like" bags is ridiculous. If it were the same as other competitors, id grade this as one of the best. Especially the clumpy one. But the price is what makes me choose other larger bags before this one.

Excellent chalk!! I've used lots of different kinds of climbing chalk over the years and this stuff is by far the best, I'll definitely keep using it for years to come. The Unicorn Dust is really fine, finer than I expected, it's almost creamy feeling. I can't really decide if I like it more or the Gorilla Grip more, but in the end both are great and pretty much the same, this stuff is just a bit more pulverized when you get it.

Good way to get you "hands on" a variety of chalk consistency and textures. Each pouch completely fills my chalk bag, so it is perfect for numerous expeditions. I decided to start "fine" and work my way "up" so that I did not need to clean my bag to effectively "test" each different blend. I have used it on both my home "woody" and on real rock with similar results. I can say that as a climber of more than 30 years that this is a "rock" solid formula! After using the FrictionLabs Unicorn Dust chalk, I can't go back to the climbing chalk I was using before. My hands sweat a lot, definitely more than the average person. The FrictionLabs chalk doesn't gunk up on my hands like my old chalk did. I couldn't tell you if I chalked up less often because of using the unicorn dust (again lots of hand sweating) but I have noticed that overall my skin is less dry and has led to less peeling since switching over.
This stuff is definitely expensive especially compared to the other stuff, but I won't go back.

Fantastic. My wife and I have used plenty of other chalks and they generally just don't coat well. I had forgotten my chalk bag in my wife's trunk and had gone bouldering after work. The awesome staff at Earth Treks where we have a membership floated me a loaner bag free of charge. I was initially a little skeptical when I put my hand in because it was so chunky. I was so impressed with the chalk over my session I immediately asked what they put in there.
It's a little costly, but I can say it lasts WAY longer than I thought a bag this size would last. I still have half of it and I climb 2-4 times a week. Also, I've had the opportunity to use it outdoors a few times now and it's great for both in the gym and on the slab.
